We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on IT Administrator to manage and support critical network, server, storage, wireless, cloud, security, and mobile infrastructure. This role involves working across firewalls, switching, wireless systems, virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, VPN technologies, MFA platforms, cloud identity services, physical server hardware, surveillance systems, structured cabling, fiber optics, and both in-office and field-deployed computing equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of supporting a diverse technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SonicWall firewalls, including VPN, routing, NAT, and security services
Configure and support IPSec and SSL VPN solutions for remote and site-to-site connectivity
Install, configure, and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 Ethernet switches (Netgear and various vendors)
Deploy, manage, and optimize Ubiquiti UniFi access points and Cloud Key controllers
Install, configure, and maintain Cradlepoint mobile routers for LTE/5G connectivity and failover
Administer and support cloud-based applications and identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
Administer Duo 2FA, including user enrollment, policy management, and application integrations
Provide ongoing support for desktop PCs, office laptops, and mobile laptops used in field deployments
Diagnose, repair, and configure hardware/software issues for both office and mobile/mobile-rugged devices
Administer and maintain a VMware ESXi virtualization environment
Support, maintain, and troubleshoot host servers across various manufacturers, including Lenovo
Manage and support HPE SAN systems and iSCSI storage
Maintain and administer NAS systems (QNAP and other vendors)
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems
Install, configure, and support IP camera systems and NVR platforms
Maintain and troubleshoot Eventide call recorder systems
Work with and support fiber optic networks, including connectors, SFP modules, patching, and light-level troubleshooting
Install, terminate, and support Ethernet cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) following industry wiring standards (T568A/B)
Monitor performance across systems, networks, storage, and cloud services to ensure reliability and uptime
Perform updates, patches, backups, and maintain compliance with security practices
Maintain detailed documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Assist with infrastructure planning, upgrades, and new technology deployments
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience managing firewalls (SonicWall preferred)
Strong understanding of IPSec and SSL VPN technologies
Solid knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking
Familiarity with Ethernet cabling standards and structured wiring practices
Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi wireless systems
Experience with Cradlepoint mobile routers
Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and cloud identity platforms
Hands-on experience administering Duo 2FA or similar MFA solutions
Experience providing desktop and mobile laptop support, including field-deployed systems
Proficiency with VMware ESXi
Experience supporting physical server hardware (Lenovo and others)
Experience with HPE SAN, iSCSI, and NAS systems (QNAP and others)
Experience with IP camera systems and NVR platforms
Familiarity with Eventide call recorder systems
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across networking, security, hardware, storage, and cloud environments
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, backup/DR platforms, and monitoring tools
