Cambridge Man Charged with Trafficking in Drugs

 

 

Guernsey County Sheriff Jeffrey Paden announced that charges have been filed against a Cambridge man following a drug bust conducted Wednesday afternoon by investigators assigned to the CODE Task Force.

According to Sheriff Paden, shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, investigators with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office and the Cambridge Police Department conducted surveillance operations in East Cambridge. During the operation, investigators approached a parked vehicle located in a parking lot where the suspect was seated as a passenger.

Samuel Rogers, 27, of Cambridge, Ohio, was ordered out of the vehicle and taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search conducted incident to arrest led to the recovery of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl from Rogers’ person. He was then transported to the Guernsey County Jail.

Rogers has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a Felony of the Third Degree
  • Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a Felony of the Third Degree

Rogers remains incarcerated at the Guernsey County Jail awaiting his initial appearance in Cambridge Municipal Court scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026.

The investigation remains ongoing.
