Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden Resumes Processing CCW Applications

Guernsey County Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden has resumed accepting CCW applications effective 3/19/2020 at 4:30 pm. The CCW room and equipment has been fully disinfected and measures have been put in place to help minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus to office staff and those that submit applications. All applicants will need to schedule their appointments as normal by visiting our website at We ask that if you are feeling ill, that you do not make a CCW appointment and that you cancel an appointment if you become ill. Background checks are still not being conducted at this time. Sheriff Paden stated “While I fully support the 2nd Amendment and the right of the people to protect themselves, I believe it is also important to protect the citizens of Guernsey County from the COVID-19 virus spread. Once we had the appropriate disinfecting procedures in place, it was important to return to processing CCW applications.”
