Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden Congratulates Program Graduates

On October 6 2020, six participants of the C.H.A.N G.E Program completed sixteen weeks of classes and successfully graduated. Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden joined in on the ceremony and offered words of encouragement to the participants as they prepare for their release. Guernsey Health Choices Group Facilitator, Brandee Whissen and Case Manager Erika Cameron, along with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, are so proud of the hard work and dedication these guys have put in the last sixteen weeks.

C.H.A.N.G.E (Creating Hope, Awareness, New Goals, and Education) is a sixteen week treatment program focusing on; drug and alcohol education, relapse prevention, and cognitive behavioral interventions. Guernsey Health Choices, Inc. in partnership with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is offering inmates an opportunity while serving their time in jail to participate in treatment. Participants are offered case management services throughout duration of the program to ensure participants leave with a completed discharge plan.
