Sheriff Jeff Paden announced today that a man and a woman have been charged with several counts of Arson following a nearly four month investigation. Sheriff Paden said that his Investigators have been working with the Ohio State Fire Marshall’s Office since the end of August after a half a dozen structure fires to vacant homes in Cambridge Township, Jackson Township and Richland Township areas. Investigator’s have charged Jase Perrin, age 18 of Salesville and Chloe Black, age 19 of New Concord with six counts of Arson, a felonies of the fourth degree. Both Perrin and Black have been arrested and are currently in the county jail awaiting bond hearings on Monday December 30th in the Cambridge Municipal Court.
Lieutenant Sam Williams and State Fire Marshall Investigator Mike Stellfox said that the investigation continues and charges against others are possible.
