During the early morning hours of Saturday, October 3, 2020 members of CODE Task Force, Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Police Department, and The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted a search warrant at a local hotel room, after an on-going investigation regarding illegal narcotic activity. As a result of the search warrant, a 22 year old female was taken into custody. The Task Force located suspected narcotics and paraphernalia during their search of the hotel room. Charges are pending as the investigation continues. Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden stated, “that drug dealers should be aware that if they come to Guernsey County that it is a matter of time before they find themselves in jail”. He went on to state, “that he is thankful to work together with a great group of law enforcement officers and agencies.”
