Buffalo Man wanted on warrants for Rape

Sheriff Jeffrey Paden announces that an arrest warrant on indictment has been issued for Ronald L. Wolters age 51 of Buffalo. An investigation was initiated in July of 2019 by the Investigation Division after a then 5 year old female reported that she had allegedly been sexually assaulted by Wolters, whom is the child’s family member. Sheriff Paden said that following a lengthy investigation, the case was presented to and reviewed by  a special prosecutor from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office that had been assigned to the case.

The case was presented to a recent grand jury and following presentation of testimony and evidence, the warrant on indictment was issued. Sheriff Paden said that once the warrant was received by his office, deputies attempted to serve the warrant at Wolter’s residence. They obtained consent to search the home by Wolter’s wife, and found that he was not at the home. Deputies learned at that time, that Wolters was believed to be in the Northern Ohio area. Sheriff Paden said that Investigators were able to speak to Wolters’by phone, and he said that he was not in the area and promised to turn himself at the Guernsey County Jail. Investigators urged him to turn himself in immediately, but as of this date he has not done so.
